How the Britain treats it's Asylum Seekers

Sometimes I despair at the way my country treats the vulnerable and the weak.

Another foriegner meets their death on British soil.

I dont know how the man died or if there was any culpability on the part of the centre.....The place doesnt exactly have the reputation of looking after it's inmates

I haven't lived in Ireland for more than 10 years now and since I left (although hopefully unrelated to my exit) Ireland underwent an economic boom. Dublin is now a very expensive place and now many of the poorly
paid jobs are occupied by economic immigrants, Dublin is now a much more cosmopolitian place then when I lived there as a kid and in my teens. Personally I and many I know think it is for the best, Ireland had more then it's fair share of monoculture in the 30's 40's and 50's, however I am disgusted to here many voices in "Ireland of the welcomes" speaking against "spongers", a bit rich coming from a country famous for near 200 years for casting it's sons and daughters out to the world to seek their fortunes.

I felt Ireland should have been more understanding.

Worst was when we had to take in 1000 Bosnian refugees during the war there and people moaned about this, not noting the 300,000 in Germany for example

Rubbish. The UK has a long history of helping Asylum Seekers.

Real Asylum seekers have no fear, they will be welcomed, helped. Its the con artists that see the UK as a land of milk and honey and State benefits.
The centre quoted was a removal centre for Asylum seekers who have been caught lying and are not true asylum seekers and are on their way out the UK.Economic Migrants are something else ,I have friends that work for the immigration services and the true figure of genuine people escaping persecution is as little as 4% of the total amount claiming asylum and trying to enter the UK.
The country has finite resources and we take more than the rest of europe even Holland has had enough and you can hardly claim thats a facist state.

Complete change of mindset required here before we are swamped.
