I positively loved this book. Extremely funny, believable character development, and best of all, to the extent of my (admittedly limited) knowledge, it fit in completely with existing Biblical stories--there are no specific contradictions to say it
couldn't have happened that way.

I am tickled pink when fiction is able to fit itself neatly into pre-existing conditions--another author who does this well is Julian May, but I digress.
There were a few times when the humor was out of place--almost like you could tell the author was proud of himself for thinking of a joke to insert--but for the most part it flowed along and didn't stick out, especially after the first few chapters.
****(small) SPOILER ALERT****
Plus, I love the idea of Jesus being a kung-fu master.
