James Brown has prostate cancer

James Brown has prostate cancer

Well, this sucks.

Fans wanting to direct well-wishes to Brown can address him at JB@intriguemusic.com, Smalls said.
Maybe we can all get together and send him a get well e-mail.

Not to worry...he'll just throw off the shroud and keep on dancing.

Well...so much for the recent reports that frequent sex helps prevent prostate cancer. I mean, if JB didn't get his share and several others', who did?

Here's hoping that modern medicine will soon have him shrieking, "I feel good!"

Maybe it's just a generational thing, but it seems that a lot of great names have been passing on lately. Here is a partial list of 2004 celebrity deaths. Maybe I just believe that except for some standouts like Tom Hanks, modern celebrities just don't seem to have the same appeal as ones from the 70's and earlier. I don't really hate him, but I won't be anywhere near as sad about Brad Pitt passing on as I did about Henry Fonda, or will about Sean Connery or any former member of Monty Python.

I don't think it would be fair to lose Ray Charles and James Brown in the same year.

BTW, here is a creepy site based on the concept of the Dead Pool. Death List

I think you're a bit premature on Brooks. Both imdb and wikipedia still count him among the living.

Brad Pitt isn't even in the same ballpark as those guys. My wife will be pretty bummed tho.

I know they're both still alive. I mean they have no business dying as yet.
