Bye-bye Dick?

Well, this was an interesting tidbit ! And Condoleezza as VP?

"It's certainly an interesting but I still think highly doubtful scenario," said a Bush insider. "And if that should happen," added the official, "there will undoubtedly be those who believe the whole thing was orchestrated – another brilliant Machiavellian move by the VP."

hmmmm...

Machiavellian: possibly; reality: unlikely.

Will it happen?

Darn, and I thought you were coming out of the closet!

As for Cheney, there is no way he's going to let go of the strings.

Nah, I'm saving that for the "Relationships" forum.

Hey, come on though, its possible. Cheney may have made enough money to satisfy himself and they offered him some sweetheart deal to be a sacrificial lamb. He's only got three more years in power, as it is, and you don't think he wouldn't still be pulling the strings behind the scenes, anyhow?

You'd think that Drudge would be all over something like that.

But this is today's hot story.

I think Cheyney is a dead man walking, and he knows it. His time remaining on this earth is very short now, but he will have it his way 'til the end. With health problems as severe as he has, if he really wanted to stay alive another 5 years, he would have dropped out before the last "election". But this man will not resign over something this piddling, since we haven't even been able to indict him for the attrocity of bringing in Enron and his robber baron buddies to write the government's energy policy, he knows Republicans can block any efforts to nail him. Nope, we are stuck with him unless they get Jr. first.

Wanna bet we aren't finally rid of Cheyney, and the even more sinister Rove, once and for all after the next election? I think it is a given, because the Republicans do not have anybody to run who is WEAK enough to be Cheyney's hand puppet. Nope, IF WE ARE LUCKY we will get McCaine and Guiliani, neither of which take directions from anybody.
