I turned on the option that tries to identify search engines instead of guests. You'll see them sucking and slurping our words all day and night.

Heh, heh, heh. I'm a technotard. I don't want all that crap on my tool bar, but I don't know how to turn them all off.

I figured as much about the Slurp Spider, but it did give me rather a turn last night, seeing it in all those threads, since I'd never heard of it before. Thanks for the explanation!

I LIKE the Google Tool Bar. The others I seem to be stuck with. I turn them off and they resurrect themselves. I've made peace with my toolbars.

The hell with that. Kill those bastards. Uninstall them through Windows Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel. Most of the legit stuff will stay killed if you remove them, shut down, then reboot.
