cleaning out/ letting go

Slowly chipping away at cleaning out Dad's objects, ephemera, accessories, etc. Today I jsut tossed his old bates secretary spring open address book.

It is sad to see all the names in the book, many of whom predeceased him. It was hard to throw it away, but I couldn't find any replacement pages for it, and I am anti clutter right now. Still, it is hard to let go of these bits of his past. The things are like little monuments, mementos of his life.

Ahh shit memory lane.

It is tough saying goodbye all over again.
