Just because you put up with addicts and violence on a near daily basis does not mean you need to treat the general public with such disrespect. Some cops have forgotten that they exist to SERVE the public, not treat them as animals in need of oversight. I can understand becoming skeptical with all the crap that they put up with day in and day out, I'd much rather run into a burning building than deal with a coke-head wielding a knife, but it is no excuse to look upon the public as inferior and lacking in moral character.
