It's nearly shopping season...!

Whats your big Christmas (/Hannukah/Solstice/Festivus) purchase this year? What's your big thing you want?

I just got done buying my girlfriend a 250 dollar iPod nano. And I'm so fuckin' happy, too. I dont think I've ever been happier to blow a quarter of a grand.

And all I really want are plane tickets home, but a nice amp or a fender nashville tele wouldn't be unwelcome.

I plan out purchases so that I can do all my shopping at one time...preferably all in one place.

This year, I have three gifts to buy, a sewing machine, a remote control car/truck for da kid and a ring. Should be a quick trip to Wally world. I hope.

In order to be original, it's an ongoing process. I've got stuff in the closet that was bought for gifts in the past then found something cooler.

One friend gets money on her Veterinarian tab for birthday and Christmas. With 5 dogs, 3 birds and a rat, it's always used, helpful and appreciated. It's also easy on me.

Women always love quality jewelry. That's so easy to do now, and guaranteed winner.

For they guys (and gals) at work, this year.....soap made with coffee grounds, that looks like poop...complete with a square of newspaper.

What do *I* want? Hmmm. A month without kids? No, I'd miss them too much.

Hubby keeps asking and I keep saying "I don't know." I don't really! I'm one of those weird females who don't like flashy jewelry, although one can never have enough earrings! I'm the Imelda of earrings.

Got hubby a cool Japanese sword from eBay. I usually get him books, so he'll be really surprised. It will be fun!

The funny thing is it is hidden in its box in plain sight in our bedroom and he's never even wondered what it is.

I'm like Bruce - buy cool things all year, find cooler things, but still manage to get my gift closet pretty empty by the end of the season.

Guess I'd love an iPod, but we make a game of having a $50 spending limit . . .

I want a new office chair for my home office. High back, suede or fabric covered, with arms.

My 18yr old wants a new motherboard w/case for his computer. It's all picked out online.

My partner is probably getting a testosterone-laden BBQ grill, unless he indicates he is dying for something else.

My 11 yr old ? Who knows.

The baby? She'll be happy with anything.

That leaves extended family...I'll most likely buy my sister and her kids clothes of some sort. Mom is difficult, probably something religious or a reading magnifying glass. Dad and his wife? I have no clue.

Partner's family? Hmmm...he'll know better than I will. Gift certificates are a probability.

That's it for me. I'm poor.

16 year-old ipod Nano (his first ipod nano was stolen out of his Blazer last August--oh, well, he learned his lesson) and the complete season 2 of House on DVD

15 year-old digital camcorder and some DVD's and CD's.

Both boys will get books, etc.

I'd like a new kitchen floor. And a new bathroom sink.
Neither one will happen.

Kiddies - Springfree Tramp & John Deer Pick up truck (12 volt thingie)

My Dad - a chartered Deep Sea fishing expedition and some caravan accessories

My Mum - undecided, a trip somewhere up the top end of Australia

Me - I just want a week off and to sit around a pool somewhere tropical where the kids can run amok, that had great babysitting services!!

We have a tribe of nephews and neices, so only buy for the ones under 18 or if they are going to be present at the Christmas festivities.

I'm the *cool* aunt who buys great clothes n stuff

hubby and I have decided on a wide screen tv for ourselves this xmas and the kids might get a portable dvd player...or they might not. There's alway fishing and camping gear which we all need more of.

I want jewelery too. Anything gold and sparkly will be fine.

With any luck, we might also get pregnant.
