Smoked Salmon

I've 24oz. that I picked up at Sam's. May be forced to eat it alone. So I'm thinking about a soy based dip, w/green mustard and a seafood cocktail sauce dip.
Tips, ideas welcome.

Hack off about 1/2 pound and make this:

Bossy Nova Salmon Dip (stolen from Rachel Ray, but it's my cute name for it)

1 Brick (8 ounces) Cream Cheese, Softened
2 Tablespoons Heavy Cream
1/4 Cup Finely Chopped Chives
1/2 Pound Smoked Salmon or Lox, Diced
1 teaspoon Lemon Zest
1/8 teaspoon black pepper (to taste)
1/2 Cup Sour Cream

Mix Cream Cheese and Heavy Cream until smooth.
Stir in Chives
Stir in Diced Salmon
Stir in Lemon Zest
Stir in Black Pepper
Stir in Sour Cream

Serve with crackers. Makes 2-1/2 cups or 20 servings (2 tablespoons dip and 5 crackers each)

This brings back delicious memories of the jars of smoked salmon that I used to get from the ex's relatives in Alaska. I do miss that smoked salmon.....but the easiest way by far that I ever found to make delicious dip from smoked salmon is to just mix it with softened cream cheese and spread it on a Ritz cracker. And the good thing about this is that you can easily try a little first, before making a lot to see if you like it.
Enjoy your smoked salmon! (I'm jealous!!)

Thanks for tips, but I think most missed the problem. I have 24oz to eat, really don't need any fillers. They sound great.
B S. olive tapenade I have some in fridge, but not great, or I don't have a clue as to what it should taste like?
Guess I'll do redneck. Salmon and crackers, dash of hot sauce

thank god wisdom has prevailed.

smoked salmon is only diminished by adding to it. A cracker will do nicely, for transport purposes. Hot sauce? hehe. ok.

smoked salmon as an ingredient can make all the other things better, but those other ingredients cannot improve a nicely smoked salmon.

I agree! Just eat it plain. Smoked salmon is really nice on a pizza with camembert cheese, fresh basil and semi dried cherrie tomatoes though.

Toss it with pasta and steamed asparagus.
Or on a bagel.
Lo-carb: salmon on a round of cucumber, garnished with mustard, or sourcream&dill...

Smoked salmon on table water crackers spread with unsalted butter. With a glass of Bucks Fizz (champagne & fresh orange juice) is my ideal Christmas breakfast.

Another nice way to eat it is wholemeal or granary bread, Philedelphia or any soft cheese of choice, onion relish, then smoked salmon on top with a squeeze of lemon and black pepper to taste.

Can I come & join you please buster?
I can eat smoked salmon til it comes out of my ears....

(btw, did you get my card yet?)
