The Cellar!!

I'd almost bet that by the time CNN got the word about the lady being killed, it was posted on the cellar. "Time stamp please." Slang post it. Which brings this question to mind. Are news print a thing of the past? I buy a Sunday paper each week and realize that I've already read most of the stories on line. Not that I troll the news. All the news programs tell ya about the "new" things, after showing you them for days! Off rant

Slang had it at 10:30 AM EST. CNN had it at about 9:00 AM EST.

There was a technical problem with my machine and my original attempt at posting a longer comment/thread about an hour before the actual post.

Does that qualify me for the news guy position here at the cellar?

I troll the news all the time. CNN, BBC, Foxnews, Drudgereport, Manila times online.

It's fascinating to see the different coverages and story details.

I do pretty much the same online. I worked for a newspaper for over a decade. Haven't worked there in 4 years and can't tell you when the last time I bought a paper was. They are NOT worth it in my opinion. More than 70% of any Sunday paper is/was printed on Thursday and/or Friday. The one I worked for was one of the largest in the country and from what I understand, they are all produced the same way.

Only if you had a TARDIS, or a flux capacited Delorean.

Seriously though, it would be nice if we could get some Ex Islers over here.

Yea, I'm with LJ, as another guy keeps telling us on other threads the news is skewed. It's way, way, way, way, way, oh yea did I say way?, skewed to the negative.

I figure if it's bad enough some one will tell me. I don't need to inundate my life with negative news.

Yes. I've been trying to be a bit less assholish around here, and I'm complimented for it. Then I make a couple of harmless comments, which apparently pissed you off, and here we go again.

Now, I ask again: Why do you wish to anger me?

Maybe buster didn't get the Dr Who reference Drax. Your post was a bit obscure I have to say. I don't quite get it...so maybe you could explain?
