FiveFingers

Has anyone tried Vibram FiveFingers (shoes). I'm considering buying a pair of the Classic or KSO.

Why aren't they called FiveToes? I don't know. Maybe it's the discount.

I hate things in between my toes. Just looking at that picture makes me shiver. No way would I ever wear them.

We grew up going to the river. Those would have been great for stepping over river rocks.

Those might be my new drumming shoes. I usually play barefoot for more sensitivity, although in the past I've experimented with martial arts shoes. I know guys who wear wrestling shoes, also. The whole thing is flexibility.

Having a layer of protection/grip on my feet, while being able to finesse the pedal with my toes...that could be nice.

Could have used those this weekend at the Brazos river. Very slippery! We took all the kids out to look at the dinosaur footprints.

@ Flint, have you seen/tried gymnastic shoes? Thin, flexible and sensitive, but will prevent slipping and abrasion.

But do they have separate toe compartments?

water socks

There's also water socks which can be cheap. Probably $5 dollars this time of year. They are nice comfortable made with mesh which dries out in a hurry. For five dollars you can get the whole family some!

Oh me too! I can't even wear those sandals with the big toe separated from the other toes. That loop around the toe makes me feel queasy.
