Always amazes me how these huge things get erected out there.

I've never been, but my brother has been several times. He loves it. He made an art car that he trailers out there and drives around.
It looks a little unpleasant to me. What started as a get away from it all and do you own thing kind of event is now a crowded temporary city. I saw an areal photo of this year's Burning Man, and it was absolutely enormous. 68,000 people. I'd rather go to some deserted beach somewhere and have a bonfire. |

I've never been, never really wanted to go, but a friend of mine went just before the explosion of attendance.
What used to be, as you say, a get a way to be yourself has now become how crazy of a group can you find to be part of. It sounds like it has become a city of groups rather than a gathering of individuals. They have it really well organized and everyone has to follow certain guidelines that are really detailed about personal hygiene, food and all that. They come, they live, they go and they leave no trace. Amazing that.
