Kittens in Bottles

Just now in Australia we are hearing about these bonsai kittens. i did a bit of research into the matter and found that most media wrote them of as college pranks. Being Amerians, and obviously well clued up on your local urban legends.. can u put our little aussie hearts at ease and let me know if youve heard of this and is it really just a sick joke???

if you don't know what im talking about go to
www.bonsaikitten.com
But BE WARNED!! its disturbing.

Tnks UT, my whole office is V concerned. (apparently we have nothing better to do) the pics are flying round the NSW airwaves at the moment sending (mostly 17yr old girls) into a rage. If (i hope) it is a stupid ongoing 'joke' id luv to just grab those nerds and stuff THEM in a bottle. if only just for wasting so much of other peoples energy.

It's OK Sparks, just check snopes before you get all rattled about this stuff.

Something good, something bad, something goofy.....check snopes.

They can't waste your energy unless you let them.

Bonsaikitten tells us what it takes to get something shared around the world.

In this case, it's the quality of the hoax that makes it something people share. If it was real, it wouldn't be shared, and you wouldn't have heard of it. But if it was an obvious fake, it wouldn't be shared either!

All urban legends are like that. If they're not good enough, they stop in their tracks. That's why they live, because they are just believeable enough to make a story that gets shared.

Here is my knee. Watch it jerk.

(I agree though. Those people that exercise freedom of speech by making funny are just asking for bodily harm!)
