It's a phenomenal method for simulating sociability, without the actual need to be social.

All I know is that whenever I enter into a chat session, I immediately think about how slow and dreary it'll be and how long it'll be. I mean, imagine you sitting there waiting, waiting, waiting while I write this post. It would drive you fuckin' nuts! I can't be waiting for people to type as a part of my social interaction.
