Democrats hate gays

Someone pointed out Missouri's anti-gay-barriage vote? Voters in the Missouri primary overwhelmingly approved a state constitutional amendment establishing marriage as being exclusively between a man and a woman.

Turns out... (via Weekly Std) the vote in Missouri was not close: 71 percent in favor of the constitutional amendment, 29 percent against. Moreover, because of a hard-fought primary that wound up ousting Democratic governor Bob Holden, turnout was weighted to the Democratic side--roughly 58 percent Democratic voters, 42 percent Republican.

{sarcasm}Clearly, someone in Missouri doesn't understand the leftist Commie-pinko, treehugging, savethewhales, let's-all-bugger-each-other, dope smoking, anti-traditional-values Democratic agenda here in my home state. {/sarcasm}

The Democrats outside of St. Louis have always been a bit conservative for as long as I can remember...with the exception of some in KC.

I simply do not understand this fear from any party in 2004. It boggles my mind. But then again, I am godless and believe in evolution.

Right...and since Democrats are all alleged (by the Right, anyway) to be a bunch of amoral Socialistic morons who favor homosexuality as a normal lifestyle, it seems odd that a high percentage Dem turnout on election day would result in such an astoundingly high margin of approval for the anti-gay marriage amendment.

Thus, my characterization of Missouri Dems as not understanding the "Liberal Agenda"...

Another failed sarcastic joke. Man, I have completely lost my touch.

A lot is a reaction to 9/11. Those $@^ in the planes would approve of the move to radical religious ideals and the divisive quality of world and US politics, especially some of the actions of our White House.
