Build a 9" telescope
Want to build a big un? This is one mans project. Pretty cool but lots of pictures of his kids along with the parts. Bribe maybe?
 It's a Lurie-Houghton design amd pretty impressive. Don't forget to post pictures her as you go.

Very impressive. I have already decided I'll never build another telescope after my first experience.
But if I do it'll be a Schiefspiegler. |

Oh, dear Lord...this guy is *totally* ate up with it!
Damn fine looking 'scope, though. I cannot imagine the patience it must take to grind your own optics. I would go certifiably insane.

It is a long, arduous process.
It's not really hard per se... just very monotonous & time-consuming. |
