Foreign power converter
Mrs. Dallas is going to England for a week at the end of this month. Can anybody recommend a power converter for her to take that's not too expensive & is worth getting? We've seen a couple that are rated for 1600 watts (which is problematic in and of itself because her hairdryer is 1875, but we can get a cheap lower powered one if we have to) but they specifically say not to use with electronic gizmos and that rules out charging our portable DVD player!
Edit.. OK, hold the phone, it turns out that the hair dryer, razor, and DVD charger in question all do 240V. Does that mean we just need a plug adapter, and not an actual voltage converter? I'm confused, trying to get the images of vultures, Indians, and rocks out of my head. Last edited by SteveDallas; 07-15-2005 at 08:51 PM. |
