The Guardian has a sample of the test. here's my score: Quote:

Thoughts as I take the test:
Question 5 is terribly written - they're all true. 13 is ambiguous abut "information" - identifiable or not? 20 appears ignorant of the Doomsday book! 23 shows a distinct lack of imagination. I scored 15 out of 24. I'm not a pommie, then, but I'm the pommiest one here yet!

I got a 9 out of 24. I only knew one answer, so 8 out of 24 was just random chance.

12 out of 24.
Never mind. I see most of those questions as completely irrelevant. They should have proper questions. All your shopping has been swiped through. What happens next: - You start fumbling for your purse/ wallet as if surprised at having to pay - You hand over cash/ card immediately, you had it ready in your hand - You carry on packing your shopping, even though you know you will have to wait for your payment to be processed afterwards You are at a bus stop. You have been waiting 30 minutes for a bus that should run every 12 minutes. Do you: - Complain to the person next to you that this route is dreadful - Walk off and get a taxi - Look to see who you can push past when the bus finally arrives Who is Eamonn Holmes? - A roly-poly presenter on daytime TV - A smug git - All of the above

11 of 24 correct for this American. Not bad, I guess.

Quando: bird poo?
I don't know. I think I got that one right. Why are the results of the census kept hidden for 100 years, anyway? So Dan Brown has something to write about? Seems weird, that a census would be secret. |
