It sounds like Bhodi wants attention, any way he can get it. Sorta like kids, even bad attention is still attention.

My only suggestions are to keep garbage and toys out of his reach. Frequent trips outside for bathroom visits and high praise for when he 'goes' correctly outside. Perhaps he can be baby-gated into a particular room?
Otherwise...outside dog with limited amounts of time indoors under constant and vigilant, supervision.
