I knew it was hot...
...but not THAT hot. That's right, we just had "the warmest first half of any year since records began in 1895." You can read the whole analysis at this NOAA site:http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories2006/s2663.htm
![]() Here in Hotlanta, it's been running about 6 to 8 degrees above normal for the last few weeks, and they say we'll have more of the same. And then there's our famous smog; OK, it's not as famous as LA smog, but were trying really hard:

On the other hand, you could assume it's a conspiracy to cloak global warming too...you know..."global hotting"?

There was a tourist couple from Phoenix in my neighborhood pizza shop recently, and they were telling the local guy working the counter that it was 112 degrees in AZ that day...and he sincerely responded, "Oh, but it's a dry heat!"
We laughed and laughed and laughed. |

Actually, weather and climate are areas of interest for me. In fact, I'm going to experience some adiabatic cooling after work today.

It's f*cking HOTT here in OHIO (four-five days in the nineties) you can't even go outside. You can't even poke your nose out the door.
I'll take winter any day over this.
