If you take risks to avoid that then you must be prepared to accept the concequences if everything comes crashing down, or if something happens that makes you wish you had that metaphorical grain stash. 'Irresponsible' is a label on par with 'drug-addict'. Don't expect those of us who sacrifice our freedom for security to help you when life kicks you in the ass.

I used the word deceptive because it's a very dangerous mentality if taken without a healthy dose of reality.

That is the crux. Finding the balance between following ones dreams and taking care of oneself.

I suppose my interpretation of the thing was different and perhaps everyone who reads it gleans something according to their own life experiences?
