If he's intending to be funny, it's really an odd sort of humor. As much as I like a good priest or Michael jackson joke, it's a tough subject to joke about.

a woman is standing in line at the grocery store. she unloads her handbasket: frozen peas, 1 can of chicken noodle soup, a pack of disposable razors, half a gallon of milk, and a loaf of white bread. a whino in line in front of her watches this with interest, looks at her and says..."hmmm....you must be single" Intrigued, the woman says, "yes, I am. beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Child abuse is not so subjective. Didn't Lumberjim object to a pic of his kid with an "adult content" caption photoshopped in? Good job LJ is a different poster or lumberjim might well have had something to say about it.....

Well I didn't find it funny either, but some people around here would I suppose. I can see what the humour in the joke is meant to be, but to me, the subject is completely wrong.
Leave kids out of sick humour I say.
