So I was sitting in the dentist chair yesterday (my new caps are the fab!) and Ain't No Sunshine came on their radio. I laughed in that mumbly laugh in the dentist chair kind of way, having already laughed in relation to the joke earlier that morning. Tanks for the laughs, Monsieur SousCrapaud! |

Whoops - no pics of the Wonton Pizza Cupcakes. This is basically what I did, but mine looked better. I also had a different order. I went wonton, topping, sauce, cheese, wonton laid with the corners opposite of the original wonton, topping, sauce, cheese. I left mine in too long. I didn't get up right at 20min when the timer went off. I suppose if I had gotten up, they wouldn't have slightly burnt. I would actually try 15min first.

Christmas dinner at work today! I've opted for leek & potato soup to start, no main* and sherry trifle for dessert. First sitting at 11.45. Hence no brekkers and the need to jump in the shower and start getting ready for work instead of mucking around on here... * Just didn't fancy a whole turkey dinner, and it turns out I was the only one to tick the veggie option, so I was scared about what might appear... A sprout on a plate?

Free lunch again. Sandwich platters. Ordered in as samples for customers to promote our "Entertaining" range. I didn't find them very entertaining, "sandwich on a plate" being perhaps too avant garde a performance for my liking. But they were jolly tasty. Free dinner too. Or more properly High Tea. More scoffage from the Entertaining range, served to us because we had a Customer Services training meeting after work. Californian style sushi, tortilla wraps, various filled and topped pastry Hors d'oeuvres. Well if we don't get to try them we can't recommend them. For me the most entertaining part of the evening was when I tried to remove a chair from a stack in the training room. Very small space, difficult to manouevre in. For the first time in ages I felt my balance shift. Luckily my fall was halted by some Forest Friends. At least by a stack of boxes containing Forest Friends hollow chocolate figures (probably in there to make way for Festive Friends hollow chocolate figures rather than to train on stock management or branch ordering). I was able to right myself before any frogs were damaged and luckily only one colleague witnessed. But I suspect she was also entertained.

Yup, beats my cuppa-soup into a canteen mug. Funny (for me) to read my comments about the Entertaining food from last year. We have our AGM on Sunday and it's being catered in the same way. Except we'll also be having rotisserie chickens cooked by my counter. By my reckoning there will be approx 2/3 of a chicken for each person attending. I might have to take in some takeaway cartons... Seriously, as far as I can tell they've calculated a 1/4 chicken for everyone who has signed up. Not everyone will make it as it starts an hour after the shop closes, not everyone works Sundays, if it's a nice day they might "forget"' some must be vegetarian and not even every meat eater wants chicken. Still, it's their loss, and hopefully the 'rents gain.
