Windoze 98 question

What is Laxpps? I keep seeing this pop up in task monitor and I want to know what it does. It seems to really be slowing things down.

Have you tried running ad-aware to see if it catches it?

I don't think it's a system process, which would make it a program-based process (

) try ending it, and see what happens. If it closes a program (watch the system tray) you'll know what it does. My initial guess is that it's an anti-virus program that is scanning every file that is opened and closed.
