Lovely. If I had my own kitchen, I'd put up a print of that.

Are you on holiday and bored?

No, I'm back at work and still sick as a dog. Waiting for a process to finish so I thought I'd be obnoxious for a while.

Yeah, I have bronchitis and sinus infection and had it my whole vacation. Meh.

"Someone went to vacation and all I got was this lousy cabin fever."

It is a pretty picture. I like the idea of it in a kitchen. Adding it to considerations for re-doing my kitchen on a dime.

Being sick during your holiday, that really sucks. Are you on antibiotics? Hope you're feeling better soon. When's your next holiday?

I finally got into the doc on Monday. I'm on the 3rd day of a z-pack (5 day antibiotic) so am feeling a bit better.

I dunno. We do get a long weekend (fourth of july) but we're headed into busy time for fall quarter so it might be awhile.

I can always take a day here and there but blocks of time are hard to fit in.

This fall I will definitely do something or go somewhere.

Just went and counted... I have 7 types of flour, and 3 types of starch in my house right now. They're not nearly as artfully arranged as that photo though.

I'm not sure I have any regular old flour, even.

Errrrrrrrr, what would you do with 3 types of starch? (so I'm not the world's greatest cook)

They're mostly the same in a pinch, but different recipes call for different ones. The corn starch container is leftover from when that was the only type of starch I knew existed, I can't remember the last time I actually used it. Potato starch is my standard substitute for eggs. Tapioca starch is a slightly different beast--it's also called tapioca flour (whereas potato starch and potato flour are completely different,) and has some stretchy qualities that make it possible to use it as a main ingredient in baking items, which you could never do with potato or corn starch.
