 The excellent My Modern Metropolis highlights this story. Quote:
 So the Chinese have discovered the "no-kill shelter"... next they have to discover "rescue"... in any case, it's a better situation for the dogs than it used to be in China, where they have generally taken care of stray dog populations by simply killing them.

Let me blow some of the space dust off that title.
it doesn't say "Chinese women feed 1300 stray dogs," it says "Chinese women feed 1300 stray dogs to tourists." |

I can't imagine the mayhem caused by broadcasting the wontons or whatever to that hoard, where they are well mixed into the aforementioned poo.
I think the ranching aspect comes before any altruism. |
