I'm not so sure Jessica isn't Jessica. In reading letters from my uncle I would often get several paragraphs into them before I realized the letter was not from my father. I think a lot of language styles are similar within a family. My sister writes a lot like I do.
And as for the emotional blackmail/ guilt tripping that certainly runs in families. I'm willing to believe Jessica's story for now.
