Let's have a few political phrases, which rarely auger well:

I propose the motion...

and its equally depressing bed fellow:

and reserve the right (to speak)

And my all time favourite 'political' phrase, which isn't four words and is not a precurser but a replacement:

Well, you might very well think that, but I couldn't possibly comment.
