Dr Paul Gazis is a Software Research Scientist at
Thermo Fisher Scientific, and is a
SETI Institute Principal Investigator in Applied Information Technology for Astrophysics and Astrobiology Data Analysis, Visualization, and Distribution. He’s also a rabid hang-gliding enthusiast.
In his spare time he writes an ongoing story about the adventures of a Royal Navy Airship (dirigible),
The Flying Cloud, in the South Pacific “between the wars”. He posts a page of the continuing story every Sunday night, although it can be late, since he’s on the West Coast and often hang gliding until sundown.
The Flying Cloud started , I think, back in 2010, and I found it about three years ago. Intrigued, I went to the beginning and enjoyed reading through the story, but was kind of bummed when I got caught up. Now I have to wait for the next page on Sunday nights.
