RCA Lyra RD 1075 - Thomson Electric Sucks Balls

Okay, I know it is a long shot, but...I got one of those little tiny RCA Lyra MP3 players awhile back, and I mostly like it. I mean, it is a bit shy on features, but it is totally portable and sounds really good. However, the most capacious of the line only comes with 256 mb of memory, and so you can't store a lot of music at one go. Last night, I picked up an SD card for the beastie, but the device is unable to recognize it.

The display shows that the card is inserted, and Windows picks it up, and will even write to it, but only if it is formatted in FAT 32. Apparently, there is some weird formatting used by the unit for SD cards, and there's supposed to be a program on the original disk to deal with that need. Wrong.

I've read *everything* on the piss-poor documentation and the piss-poorer RCA web site, to no avail. I'm truly stuck here. Anyone else have one of these and has managed to make an SD card function in it?
