As we speak of technochange, I was reflecting that the last time I was looking for a job, having a faxmodem was an enormous advantage.
Although the position I did finally get I got because the hiring manager was accepting resumes via email, which was a novel concept at that time. So novel that the Inquirer misprinted his email address in the want-ad (remeber want-ads?); I was probably the only applicant who could figure out what his correct address was by filtering out the typo. (whs@mfldt.co.uk was the correct answer; I think they had a slash or a percent in it someplace)
Come to think of it, I think I may have sent that email from the Cellar.
