Shaken, not stirred.

Just got back from the pictures, the new Bond movie is excellent! They've rescued the franchise again. I read all the books when I was in my teens and loved them, but by far the best was the first one, Casino Royale. I have never been the biggest fan of the films though, because of the huge portions of cheddar they serve up. The only Bond I really liked was Timothy Dalton, because he was the closest to the character in the books...

Til now. Craig does a fantastic job of the character, the action is gritty and believable, but still with the large scale that we've come to expect from a Bond movie. Unlike many of the other Bond films, in this one he doesn't seem indestructable and that gives him way more edge.

We've jumped back to the start of his character in this film, we see what makes him the Bond of later adventures, and that allows for a few chinks in the armour to show.

Anyone who likes the books, I can heartily recommend seeing this movie.....anybody who likes a cracking adventure with a sense of scale and a dark humour, you should enjoy it too.
