Thanksgiving Techno Temptation

With all of the Thanksgiving sales out there, I must resist temptation. these are some things that I found tempting. I might actually buy one or more of the following.

$180 - A 1-TERABYTE hard drive. I seriously don't even know what I would do with a 1T drive. I have 2 drives that are about 250GB and I use 1 to backup the other. The first question I would ask myself is if I put 1T worth of stuff on the drive is "How do I back it up"? Still, since I still have an old purchase receipt for a something like a 60MB drive for over $200, I have to step back in awe.

$150 - Maestro 3100 GPS. I once got a GPS as a freebie in a rental car and loved it. My wife, who is by no mean a technophile, has also asked why we don't have one. Most of the time I wouldn't need it, since I don't travel that much. But there have been times that it would have come in handy.

$20 micro SD mobile kit. Its a 2GB micro SD card with a micro-to-mini-SD adapter and a mini-to-full-SD adapter so you can nest them like Russian dolls. It also has a micro-to-USB drive adapter. Oh heck yes I'm buying this. The micro-USB adapter alone means I can transfer cellphone pics to a computer without a reader.

$28 4GB USB flash drive. Nah, the 2GB mobile kit is good enough.

$30 Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard. Very tempting. I've had carpal tunnel surgery, so I know the importance of ergonomics. I might even use this at work if I can't get my employer to buy one for me.

$60-$250 digital cameras. Faster, smaller, cheaper, with anti-shake features. I have my 'almost pocket sized' and SLR-like cameras already, but I am still amazed at the changes.
