I still get all choked up seeing the flag of St George flying from every other window.
We're such a self-deprecating nation that patriotism for a long time was allied with racism. In other words if you were proud of being English it meant you wanted wogs and Pakis to go home. So I love it. Until we crash out on my birthday that it. |
