I didn't understand the post (at all!) so I clicked the link.
I understand it a bit now, but not much more.

So a TV news reporter is taking time off from her job to act as a warm up act for a politician? Is that right? That seems awfully odd to me. Do politicians usually have the same person to introduce them rather than just the person running the event?

Also, is this woman a respected journalist - wouldn't it be better to have an intellectual from the party to offset fears of Palin's lack of experience?

Please explain if I am well off the mark here.
In fact, please just explain.
