I'd hate to live in a cold climate, but in saying that, I think it's what you're brought up with which really affects how you feel about climate.
Having been brought up in northern Australia where the heat and humidity can be quite extreme, and it rarely gets below 20 degrees celcius during the day, even during winter, I have to say that I really don't enjoy the cracked and dry skin, sore red nose, lingering coughs and colds and frozen toes I've suffered during my few brief stints to colder climates. Having said that, in my current condition, I'm not enjoying the heat so much and have been giving the aircon a bit of a work out. Jimbo, what made you think the southern states were hotter?
