Mulatto, it sounds like you've got your head screwed on pretty tight, good for you. I have to agree with UT and Dana about taking it slow and waiting on adding the complication of a kid.

I got the impression you wouldn't put up with any bullshit and if he didn't treat you right you would end it. Adding a kid makes that so very much harder to do, legally, financially, physically and even emotionally, you might find yourself trapped. So please be patient and cautious, OK.
