Bandwidth speed? good or bad

Can someone explain my numbers? Seems like today my computer is taking forever to load web pages or download email, so I went to the WWW.speakeasy.net site and did a couple of tests and most of them are coming up with numbers in this range:

download: 8350 kbps
upload: 525 kbps.

I get my internet through a cable modem and am happy with my service most of the time. The provider is Sudden Link which is not a big company but seems to provide service in the eastern part of Texas between Houston and Dallas.

I just want to sound like I know what I'm talking about if I call their tech dept to ask for them to check my area for issues.
