Sure,
Download it from here: http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...288-v3-x86.exe Microsoft Installer relies on an internal database, and a lot of files stored in C:\windows\installer. Sometimes the DB gets corrupt in older versions of the product. You perhaps by chance didn't delete any of those files, did you?
