I know, we've already had a Japanese giant penis festival, but this is a different Japanese Giant Penis Festival.

This one is held in the town of Tagata, as part of the male insecurity rich harvest festival, every 15th of March.

First, there are the souvenir stands:



Yes, those genital scented oil evaporators have faces on them. Yes.

These women are hoping to become pregnant, but I think they're doing it wrong.



Ahh, the main attraction, so to speak:



It takes a team of about 20 men to carry it through the village from one shrine to another.
Solemn? Ha! The sing and shout and spin it around and do 360s with it and everything.

I think the free sake has something to do with it.
