Windows 2000 Professional Problem

Hey Dudes

I am having a problem with Windows 2000 Professional and I was wondering if anyone had any idea's, Ive got one idea, but I dont want to go there unless there is another way.

For about 3 weeks, i boot up Win2K and everytime I connect to the internet, every time I try to delete something or rename something or try to access anything on the sub menu when you right click on a icon, my computer totally pauses up and i have to run task manager, shut down explorer and restart it back up. It still has the problem, but I can do anything else, just dont do that. It only seems to affect me when I access the Internet. I think it might be a virus but my virus program, Norton SystemWorks 2003 is up to date and does not find anything. So it is to my conclusion that it is a stuffup with Windows 2000 and needs re-installing. But I was hoping there was another way to get around it....so ideas would be appreciative
