Savages
In 1886 General miles rounded up the Chiricahua Apaches and shipped them off to jail at Fort Marion, Florida.
But what to do with the savage children? Ship them to the Carlisle, PA, Indian school for civilizing.  A hundred or so died of civilized diseases, and got a civilized burial in Carlisle. But the survivors got civilized and you can see how much happier they are.
