Companies Against Black Friday

Marketing sucks. But when it's really done right, it sends a shiver down my spine. Like you can sense the power of really manipulating tens of thousands of people. It's probably a mental illness.

ANYWAY. There's this game, Cards Against Humanity, that is fun and offensive. And they are really really good at their personal style of anti-marketing, which is just marketing in disguise because duh. They've always done a big thing against Black Friday. One year they tripled the price of everything on their site, and heavily advertised that they would do so, and people bought that shit anyway, for the chance to tell their friends they paid three times as much in some sort of artistic statement against Black Friday. This year, they are digging a hole in the ground. You give them money, and they put it in a hole in the ground. See?

Seriously. They're just digging a hole. I hope that it's secretly a spot where a new hospital is going or something, but it sure doesn't look like a good location for that (or anything else) on the live cam. Yes, there's a live cam. As of now, they've just passed the $30,000 mark.
