Honestly, while I'm fascinated by the idea of having a full-fledged computer in my pocket, I don't think that the public is ready for it.

I'm thinking about buying a Sharp Zaurus (my boss has one and it's pretty slick), but not as a PDA - rather, as a computer in my pocket. I love the idea of that. Typing up emails on the metro or while I'm sitting somewhere wasting time and then sending them off when I get to an 802.11b network. Browsing the web from anywhere. Just having a small computer to play around with.

I don't think, however, that OQO can price this where it needs to be priced. They've said $1,000 - and it's surely worth that. But I don't think that most people are going to want to pay that kind of money for something so small. Sure, it's a computer. But it could get lost pretty easily. Hell, you could put it through the laundry without much trouble.

I don't see this gaining a market beyond businesspersons unless the price is lowered drastically.
