I love the analogies. I had no idea this place was all lobster and steak compared to my Big Macs. Nice to judge the new guys. And if Dev is going to say he had bouts with us "characters"... forget him too.

I did not attack a single person here, and still won't. But I won't forget those that feel comfortable attacking me. Message board rudeness reigns eternal.

No, you just attacked all of us. Here's a little selection of your witticisms over the last 22 hours or so:

I was at www.audiogalaxy.com the general discussion board.

But if if comes back up I'll go back.

I won't ever adjust to these posted pics and smileys. Though that's how my original message board was.

***

Wow! Glad you acknowledged CBOL, though I don't think you know what it means.

***

Some want to be helpie-helperton, but I guess that can't be avoided. Others wear corderoy pants and smoke pipes.

***

I love message board politics. Obviously I've rankled some here. Shot in the arm, so to speak. Oh well, I've done worse.

***

You may be stuck with "El" as far as I'm concerned. But, hey... here's my first smiley just for you ------>

***

I wonder if they like being called by their screen names or prefer their "real" names. I prefer screen-names, in case you're wondering.
You claim to be 37 but you come across as a wise-ass 17 year old, sitting in the back of the class and sniggering with his buddies.

What's your REAL name? Cuz I wanna call you by your REAL name, "Steve" (if that's who you are), just to annoy you.

So, STEVE, are you implying that paybacks are a bitch? If so, meet the BITCH, herself! I eat punks like you for breakfast.

Cellar - main street - high noon.

Hugs and kisses,

Cowgirl

You eat punks for breakfast? (ala Billy Madison)

where did I imply that there was payback? or payback necessary?

Plus, I agree, those are witticisms, but not attacks.

saying I'll call someone El is an attack?

Saying that someone doesn't know what I meant when I posted CBOL is an attack?

None of those are attacks. No payback, I'm not starting a war with the board, as much as you want me to. But I'll respond to any posts written to me, without attacking.

I taught freshman comp at the biggest party school in Colorado for 7 years. Your "who me?" act needs work:

Patrick told you his name was "Patrick." His user name is Elspode. You may be stuck with "BS" as far as I'm concerned.

Wow! You replied to my post, although I don't think that you know how to read.

All of those were snide, passive/aggressive comments. No, you're not starting a war, you're starting a campaign to bring "democracy" AG style to a foreign country. First you'll soften up any resistance with carpet posting.

Sweetheart, I've stood on the first day of class in front of too many sullen 18 year olds who would much rather have been on the ski slopes at Purgie or down at the Old Tymer drinking bock ale to not recognize the modus operandi at work here. Your wounded innocent act won't fly with me.

I have nothing against newbies. I've been one before, and I'm going to be one again in a whole new town in another month. But I DO have something against someone who posts sly innuendos and feigns innocence over what they're doing.

If you're going to insult people, at least be a man about it. I suggest you go back and study some of Lumberjim's posts to learn the fine art of the direct confrontation.

Cowboy up!

I appreciate you wading in on my behalf, Mari, but I don't care if Steve calls me El, or anything else, for that matter. I'm not going to have the energy or interest to wade through his reams of crap anyway, and I'll probably just skip over his posts to get to things that are actually interesting.

Steve, call me whatever, really. I'm pretty sure you're going to get bored and leave eventually when no one else will match your 300 to 1 posting ratio.

Oh, I realize that, Patrick. His response to you WAS rather rude, though, and I was just using it as one of my several examples. I am we'll aware you can take care of yourself around here.

Thanks, El. You may be right, or I may stay here for years.

Nah, they just told us where we could order our own body armor from. As usual, Colorado was cutting its budget for higher education - the funding for combat pay had been cut the year before I was hired.

No insults implied. You are just reading it the way you want to read it. No paybacks will be issued. No innuendos. Example: I may use the name "El" because I'll never remember his real name, and El is quick and easy to type. the "as far as I'm concerned" part mostly spoke to my poor memory for other than the name I see repeatedly on the screen. I even threw in a smiley face, to connote lightheartedness. And there is a similar explanation for every other so-called snide remark you posted, but who wants to read a paragraph explaining why I talk the way I do.

It's all good, mari, you seem like a decent person to me protecting your territory from interlopers. But a message board is like a melting-pot. Here I am melting!

Good luck with the move, btw.

Mari and Elspode are just confused, as I am, that you haven't yet figured out that vBulliten wasn't designed to support "scroll-board/democratic thread"-style communications. As far as I know, this could be some strange demonstration of political metaphor, since you never elected to answer my previous question as to why you want to continue your pattern of the previous four years at AG despite logging into a system that was clearly designed around a different posting methodology. Would you care to elaborate on your inability/refusal to adapt? Without an explanation, I think a lot of people here are just going to continue to chalk your actions up as being inconsiderate.
