You should take it as a compliment. Although it's a rather crude way, they're asking, as I'm sure you know, if you color your hair.
Well, I'm assuming that you don't color your hair. But either way, it seems to me, if they're asking, it means your hair at least looks natural. There is way to many redheads out there that don't have to be asked.

Personally, I would never ask if the carpet matches the drapes..... I'd ask if the nipples are pink?
