Keyboards can be rinsed with water to no ill effect - as long as no key is pressed. Once pressed, a key will suck in some fluid. The only way to get that fluid out is complete disassembly.

Its not hard to disassemble as long as the workarea is clean and all screws are carefully accounted for. Do not pop off keys. There should be no reason to remove a key except if that keyboard has an assembly screw underneath that one or three keys. Simply remove, clean, and dry membrane and PC board. Then reassemble.
