I think your question is too vague, sorry, because there are BIG priorities, and little priorities.
Call them goals, or life views, but the big ones tend to stay constant once we get into adulthood. Can they change? Sure. Should they change, if circumstances warrant? Absolutely, in my view. I'm not honestly sure what "situations" you are considering, since there's not much to go on here, but handling change well is a valuable life skill, and we should be able to change, if need be. Obviously the "little" priorities are changed more often. One's priorities on a lazy Saturday will be different from a hectic Monday at work.
