It does tend to be the older generation - my parents wouldn't drive to & from Leicester in one day (3 hour round trip) but HM came from Wales, to Leicester and back to London after working a 12 hour day... and thanks to floods that ended up as an 8 hour drive

But yes, our dinky little island spoils us with its close-packed riches
