16th amendment still stands

The courts have never ruled the 16th Amendment wasn't properly ratified. The courts have ruled they are precluded from addressing the issue.

There is current litigation before the Federal District Court in Chicago regarding this issue. The case is United States v. Benson, Case No. 1:04-cv-07403 (N.D.Ill.E.D. 2004). There have been some cases recently ( 3 months or so ) that have found non-filers and "tax cheats" completely innocent in court.

I do believe that the government will arrest and jail you for not filing and paying their income tax, but I'm very skeptical as to how they might do that with the way that the "laws" are written and the rights that you have to give up just to comply.
